Tough Assignments Bring Astounding Rewards

After being beaten, chained together, and thrown in prison--Paul and Silas started praying and singing.  Here they are in a dark, damp inner prison...praising the Lord.  And suddenly the ground starts to shake, the doors fling open, and everyone's chains break off.  The rest of the prisoners flee, but Paul and Silas stay put.  They're waiting for the jailer to arrive.  Their assignment (Paul and Silas') was to set the jailer free from the "bondage" of unbelief .  The jailer came running to them and asked them "what must I do to be saved."  They told him to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved--you and your household."

You may be setting in a "dark place"--not of your choosing.  Instead of grumbling or complaining, try praising the Lord in the midst of your difficult circumstances.  Pray and ask God why He's allowed you to be here.  He may be using you (in this dark place)  to shine your light on someone else that needs to be set free.  And if you do, watch and see what the Lord's going to do--not only for the other person, but for you.

Philippians 2:14 tells us to "Do all things without complaining and disputing,...".  Stop complaining...stop talking....start praying!  Start thanking God and praising Him for what He's about to do in your life.  That which may be holding you down or holding you back may simply be because of a wrong heart attitude and a negative mind set.

A GRATEFUL HEART is the right attitude.  And the right ATTITUDE will lift you to a new ALTITUDE....you'll be able to rise above your circumstances.  Try it today, and see it work in your life for His glory.
