In I Corinthians 1:27 it says that "God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things that are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are."
I've been called "a fool," but I'm a fool for Christ's sake! I know I am "weak" in many areas, but God's strength empowers me. I'm simply a CLAYPOT that is cracked (a "crackpot")! But God uses me....and He's chosen me to serve Him.
Don't put yourself down, don't de-value your worth! I heard a story about two waterpots. The master's gardener carried water (2 pots hooked onto a yoke) up a hill to the master's garden each day. One pot was cracked, so it lost much of the water on the way up the hill. This cracked pot was sad and felt it wasn't of any use. But the servant who was carrying the pots said this to the cracked pot: "Look...see this one side of the path? It has no flowers growing....but look at your side of the path. See all the flowers? You have watered this side everyday as I've carried you up the hill. You have made the path more beautiful!"
Often we are not aware of how the Lord is using us. But, if our hearts desire to serve Him, He will use us to make this world more beautiful.
Pour out the "living water" that resides within you today...pour out to others and God will pour more back into you tomorrow. He will fill you up until you overflow, if you open yourselves to Him.
